Spinning the yarn about Open Access

Introduction:

Katarina Lovrecic collects daily news at Open Access Yarn (that currently uses a G+ format) about open access, open licensing, publishing technologies, and related initiatives from librarians, students, publishers and scientists.

Katarina has previously acted as an Open Access advocate at InTech OA Publisher, exploring and evangelizing about the educative cause of the brand: open access, while creating and editing the content for the official InTechWeb blog, news for the Open Access Comments as well as updating both Twitter and Facebook accounts with OA related news.

The Yarn represents the continuation of the mentioned production of advocacy content. It is a news aggregator of a sort, from relevant and known OA sources. At least, this is what the Yarn will resemble in the beginning, aiming to grow, eventually, into a new channel for the OA related authored reports.
